License revoked for Niagara-based motor vehicle dealer

Release date: November 12, 2021

The state of Wisconsin revoked the motor vehicle dealer license for 141 Auto Sales and Service in Niagara, Wisconsin for failing to properly maintain dealership records.

The order, issued by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Division of Motor Vehicles, determined that 141 Auto Sales and Service violated state law when they provided fraudulent sales documents to submit for title and registration in violation of Wisconsin Statute §218.0116(1)(f), and failed to properly maintain dealer record books, motor vehicle purchase contracts, and Wisconsin Buyer’s Guides as required by Wisconsin Statute §218.0116(1)(nm). 141 Auto Sales and Service’s license is revoked effective November 13, 2021.

WisDOT’s Dealer and Agent Section licenses, regulates, and resolves disputes about dealership sales and warranty repairs. It also investigates complaints about odometer tampering and title fraud involving dealerships and private sellers.
