Governor Evers approves WIS 57 ramp improvements to begin

To invest in Wisconsin's transportation system, Governor Evers signed a $326,000 contract to implement improvements to the WIS 57 (Green Bay Avenue) ramp to eastbound Silver Spring Drive in the city of Glendale.   
 
Work is scheduled to begin April 20, weather ​permitting. Zenith Tech Inc., is the prime contractor for the project and will implement the following:  

Project Improvements  ​
  • Replace aging pavement 
  • Improve ramp alignment
  • Install Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons to improve pedestrian safety 
What to Expect  
  • WIS 57 (Green Bay Avenue) ramp to eastbound Silver Spring Drive closed until the end of May 
  • Signed Detour: westbound Silver Spring Drive to southbound Sherman Boulevard to connect with eastbound Silver Spring Drive  
 
Construction is scheduled for completion by mid-June. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
