The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region announces a public involvement meeting for proposed work on WIS 54 between the city of New London and the village of Shiocton in Outagamie County. The meeting will be held Thursday, April 4 from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Shiocton School Library Media Center. There will be a short presentation at 5:15 p.m. followed by an open-house meeting format.

The proposed project is a resurface-level improvement from the west county line to Park Avenue in Shiocton. It includes a mill and overlay of the existing pavement, culvert and shoulder work, rumble strips, sanitary sewer and water adjustments in Shiocton, as well as other miscellaneous repairs along WIS 54. A detour is proposed for structure work. Right of way acquisition and temporary easements for grading will be required for the project.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend the meeting to review proposed project details, displays and exhibits, ask questions, and provide comment that may assist WisDOT during project design. WisDOT staff will also be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
Persons who are unable to attend the meeting and would like project information or provide comment may contact WisDOT Project Manager Tim Rank, at Northeast Region Office, 944 Vanderperren Way, Green Bay, WI 54304; (920) 360-2579, or Tim.Rank@dot.wi.gov.
