The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is proposing to improve the US 63 corridor through Spooner in 2021.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) has 3 resurface projects and 1 reconstruction project scheduled for the US 63 Corridor in Washburn County.
The resurfacing projects are currently scheduled for 2020 (2019 if funding becomes available) along US 63 within the following limits:
- North Junction of County B to Green Valley Road (4.2 miles) – city of Shell Lake and towns of Bashaw and Beaver Brook
- Green Valley Road to Greenwood Avenue (1 mile) – town of Beaver Brook and city of Spooner
- Poplar Street to US 53 (1.5 miles) – city of Spooner and town of Spooner

A reconstruction project, in coordination with the City of Spooner, is proposed from WIS 70 to Poplar Street, through the City of Spooner. The reconstruction project is currently scheduled for 2021.
