WIS 46 & Keller Avenue, Snow Street to York Park Entrance, City of Amery, Polk County
The project involves a three-lane conversion on WIS 46, reducing the number of traffic lanes to one lane on each side with a two-way left turn lane (TWLTL) in the center. This conversion will be accomplished during highway resurfacing; as a new layer of asphalt is added, construction crews will re-paint the highway with new lane markings. Additionally, curb ramps will be replaced throughout the project to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
The project is anticipated to cost between $1.1 to $1.4 million.
Construction is scheduled for the 2020 construction year.
Motorists can expect to encounter minor delays from temporary lane closures. No detour routes are proposed. Access modifications are not expected, however, all access points will be reviewed during the design process.
Long-term closures will not be allowed during the following times:
- Memorial Day weekend: 12:00PM on Friday, May 22 to 6:00AM on Tuesday, May 26
- Independence Day weekend: 12:00PM on Thursday, July 2 to 6:00AM on Monday, July 6
