Public input sought on WIS 23 project in Green Lake County

​Release date: January 5, 2022

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is seeking public input on proposed improvements to WIS 23 at the WIS 73/Pye Alley Road intersection in Green Lake County. Construction is currently scheduled for 2024.​

​The purpose of the project is to address safety needs at the intersection by widening the south side of WIS 23 and adding left turn lanes.

Traffic Imp​​acts:

During construction, all roads will remain open to traffic with flagging operations. Staged construction or short-term closures at the intersection may be necessary.

Real Estate:

Some right of way acquisition is required along the south side of WIS 23. WisDOT expects to begin real estate acquisition in summer 2022. Landowner rights information and maps are available on the project website.

How to provide input:

The public is invited to review the project website and provide input through Wednesday, February 2, 2022.   

  1. Residents, property owners, and businesses in the area have been mailed a handout with a comment form that can be sent back to WisDOT. 
  2. Submit comments using the online comment form on the project website.
