Northbound US 53 exit and entrance ramps to close at US 63

Temporary closures result of pavement replacement project on US 53

 Release date: June 14, 2024

The ramps from northbound US 53 to US 63 and US 63 to northbound 53 northeast of the Washburn County city of Spooner will be closed Monday, June 17, and they are expected to remain closed until July 12.

The closures are the result of a pavement replacement project on US 53 from Wildcat Road southeast of Spooner to County A that includes replacing ramp pavement at the WIS 70 and US 63 interchanges.

The ramps from northbound US 53 to WIS 70 and from WIS 70 to northbound US 53, which closed to traffic May 20, reopened to traffic earlier this week. The ramp from WIS 70 to southbound US 53, which was closed to traffic Monday, will reopen today.
