WIS 175 construction complete in Fond du Lac County

Roadway improvement project finishes on time and on budget

(Fond du Lac) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation Northeast Region announces completion of construction on 7.1 miles of WIS 175 from the south Fond du Lac County line in the town of Byron to US 151 in the city of Fond du Lac. The $2.3 million project began August 16, 2021 and finishes on time and on budget.

Construction included resurfacing of the roadway, culvert pipe replacements, shoulder widening, spot curb and gutter replacement, concrete barrier and rumble strip installation, and pavement marking. Crews also repaved the railroad crossing near Byron Road.

The improvements provide a smoother driving surface for motorists and extend to life of the existing pavement. New barrier and rumble strips enhance safety. Culvert work provides improved drainage.

Northeast Asphalt, Inc. of Greenville, Wis. was the Prime Contractor.
