Motorcycles, mopeds, and low speed vehicles

Registration plates for motorcycles, mopeds, and low speed vehicles expire at the end of April in even years. 

Motorcycle plates

Motorcycle plates have APR stamped on the lower left corner. Place the year sticker on the lower right corner. Older motorcycle plates issued before 2003 have WIS stamped on the lower left corner and APR in the lower right corner. Place the year sticker on the lower center of the plate.

 
Applicable plate types are:
  • Motorcycle - CYC
  • Disabled Parking Cycle - DMC
  • Veteran Motorcycle - VMC 

Moped plates

Moped plates have APR stamped on the left side and MOPED stamped on the lower right. Place the year sticker on the lower left of the license plate so that it does not cover the stamped letters.  Older moped plates issued before 2004 have WIS on the lower left corner and MOPED on the lower right corner. Place the year sticker on the lower center of the plate.

​Low speed vehicle plates

Low speed vehicle plates receive both a month and year sticker.  Place the month sticker on the lower left corner of the plate, and place the year sticker on the lower right corner.

Applicable plate type:
  • ​Low Speed Vehicle - ​LSV
