Location
US 8, WIS 32 to Peshtigo River Bridge, Forest County
Project Overview
The purpose of this project is to extend the service life of the pavement, enhance safety, and maintain acceptable drainage along approximately 7.4 miles of US 8 from WIS 32 to the Peshtigo River Bridge in the towns of Laona and Caswell.
Traffic Impacts
Construction is currently scheduled for the summer of 2028. During construction, US 8 will remain open to traffic utilizing daytime single lane closures, managed by flagging operations. There may be instances where staged construction or short-term closures at intersections are required. Motorists can expect some delays to occur, but delays will be managed through limiting contractor operations at critical times. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained except for short periods while construction operations are directly adjacent to the entrances. Temporary pedestrian facilities will be in place during the replacement of sidewalk curb ramps.
