WIS 34, Oak Hills Road to County DB, Marathon and Portage Counties
Overview
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is proposing the following improvements:
- Remove and replace 4 inches of asphalt on WIS 34.
- Remove and replace 1.75 inches of asphalt on park and ride lot south of US 10.
- Upgrade guardrail throughout the project to current standards.
- Replace deteriorating culverts at 17 locations.
Traffic Impacts
WIS 34 will be closed to thru traffic and detoured during construction. Local access will be maintained; however, there will be short duration closures for culvert replacements. Other brief roadway and driveway closures may be necessary to accommodate construction operations.
Real Estate
It is anticipated that temporary limited easements may be required at some culvert replacement areas. No permanent right of way acquisition is anticipated with this project.
