Location
The project involves the bridge that carries US 53 over a branch of the north fork of Beaver Creek in the Trempealeau County village of Ettrick.
Overview
Built in 1989, the structure is in need of rehabilitation. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation proposes to:
- Replace the concrete bridge deck
- Replace the concrete parapet
- Reconstruct approximately 600 feet of asphalt on both sides of the structure
- Install guardrail on all quadrants of the roadway approaches
Traffic Impacts
During construction, US 53 will remain open to a single lane of traffic at the bridge controlled by temporary traffic signals.
Schedule
Construction currently is scheduled for 2028.
