WIS 13 (County H to Bark Point Road), town of Cloverland to town of Clover - Douglas and Bayfield counties

Location

WIS 13 from County H in the Douglas County town of Cloverland east to Bark Point Road in the Bayfield County town of Clover.

Overview

To address deteriorating culverts, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is proposing to:

  • Replace or line deteriorated pipes.
  • Build curb ramps at the Grand Avenue intersection in Port Wing.
    • Curb ramps are transitions between the sidewalks and street crossings.

Real Estate

Temporary limited easements will be needed to line two culvert pipes. A TLE is an interest in land and must be used when the project requires WisDOT or its contractors to use a portion of the owner’s property temporarily to construct the highway project.

Schedule

Construction currently is scheduled for 2024.

Traffic Impacts

  • WIS 13 will remain open to traffic most of the time, but motorists might encounter single-lane closures controlled by flagging operations and shoulder closures.
  • WIS 13 will be detoured for a week for the replacement of a culvert pipe near the Douglas-Bayfield county line.
    • Traffic would be detoured via US 2 and County A.
