Location
The project limits on WIS 29 extend from I-94 in the Dunn County town of Elk Mound to Stillson Creek in the Chippewa County town of Lafayette.
Overview
The pavement on this segment of WIS 29 is showing signs of deterioration. To address this and other issues, the proposed Wisconsin Department of Transportation project is proposing:
- Repair or replace concrete pavement on WIS 29, its interchange ramps and the areas between the ramps.
- Complete centerline repair work.
- Resurfacing the existing asphalt shoulders and replacing the shoulders at County T and 90th Street.
- Complete culvert and guardrail work.
- Replace pavement markings.
Schedule
Construction is scheduled for 2028.
Traffic Impacts
During construction, WIS 29 will remain open to traffic, but motorists will encounter single-lane closures and a reduced speed limit during nonpeak travel times.
