Overview
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is proposing a pair of improvement projects along WIS 145, between Shadow Lane (County P) and WIS 175, in Washington County.
Proposed Improvements
These projects will be separated into two segments along WIS 145.
Improvements to the eastern segment (Shadow Lane to approx. Richfield Parkway - blue on map) will include:
- Diamond grind all concrete pavement within the project limits.
- Base patching as needed
- Crack sealing on ramps to/from I-41 and US 45.
- Maintenance work on bridges over I-41 and US 45.
- All existing signing will be updated
- New pavement marking
- Storm sewer and roadway drainage elements (inlets and culverts) will be evaluated and repaired as needed.
Improvements to the western section (Approx. Richfield Parkway to WIS 175 - orange on map) include:
- Mill the existing surface and replace with new HMA (Hot Mix Asphalt).
- Base patching as needed
- All existing signing will be updated
- Storm sewer and roadway drainage elements (inlets and culverts) will be evaluated and repaired as needed.
Traffic Impacts
Traffic impacts are still being evaluated.
Schedule
Eastern segment (Shadow Lane to Richfield Parkway) - Construction is tentatively scheduled for 2027.
Western segment (Richfield Parkway to WIS 175) - Construction is tentatively scheduled for 2031 and may be advanced to 2030, if funding is available.
