Overview
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), in partnership with the city of Milwaukee Department of Public Works, are proposing a pavement replacement project along WIS 175 (W. Lisbon Avenue), between 46th Street and Appleton Avenue.
Proposed Improvements
- Full depth pavement replacement
- Replace sidewalk and ADA curb ramps
- Replace signal poles/equipment
- Replace intersection and corridor lighting
- Evaluate storm sewer condition
- Evaluate inclusion of bike accommodations
Traffic Impacts
Potential traffic impacts are still being determined. Access to local businesses and residences will be maintained.
Public Involvement
WisDOT and the City of Milwaukee are hosting a public involvement meeting on Thursday, August 21, 2025. Public involvement meetings are an opportunity for members of the community to view project materials and meet with the project team. This will be an open-house style meeting with no planned presentation. Meeting details below:

Schedule
This project is in the design phase. Construction is tentatively scheduled for 2031.
