Project Overview
WisDOT is proposing to resurface approximately 1.25 miles of WIS 32 in Bayside in Milwaukee County, from Dean Road to Mohawk Road. Project improvements include:
- 4-inch mill and overlay along the length of the project
- Upgrading existing pedestrian curb ramps to current standards
- Construction of a concrete safety island between the roadway and the existing asphalt sidewalk along the east-west section of the project to provide separation between the two
- Addition of curb & gutter as needed to address drainage issues
Public Involvement
A public involvement meeting will be held on August 6 from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Bayside Village Hall (9075 N Regent Road, Bayside, WI 53217). The meeting will be conducted in an open-house format allowing the public to stop in at their convenience to learn about project updates and share their input. Information presented at the meeting will be available online for those unable to attend. To provide input, contact the project contacts below.
Traffic Impacts
Traffic staging options are still being evaluated.
Schedule
Construction is currently scheduled for 2029 but could occur as early as 2028 if funding becomes available.
