Overview
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is proposing to replace the pavement on approximately 3.7 miles of WIS 32 (S. Chicago Road) from the south Milwaukee County Line to Forest Hill Avenue, located in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. The purpose of this project is to provide long-term improvements to the pavement, operation, and safety of the roadway. Proposed improvements include:
- replacing roadway pavement
- evaluating where an urban versus rural typical cross section is appropriate
- completing drainage improvements/storm sewer installation
- replacing or minor upgrades to traffic signals
- replacement of existing curb ramps in disrepair or non-compliant with ADA standards.
In addition, the project is proposing some locations for new sidewalk to be installed. Temporary Limited Easements and some right-of-way acquisitions will be required for the project.
