Overview
To improve motorist safety, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is proposing to install rumble strips along approximately 3.13 miles of WIS 67, between WIS 16 and Evergreen Road in Waukesha County.
Proposed Improvements
Install asphalt rumble strips along both shoulders of WIS 67 within the project limits. Pavement markings will be redone as needed.
Purpose for Project
There have been multiple run-off crashes along this segment of WIS 67. In Wisconsin, lane departure crashes account for over one-third of all fatal and injury crashes each year, with 90% taking place on rural Wisconsin highways.
