Location
Overview
The proposed project will make various improvements to approximately 1.3 miles of WIS 165 (104th Street), between County EZ (39th Avenue) and WIS 32 (Sheridan Road), in the village of Pleasant Prairie, Kenosha County.
Improvements include:
- Remove the existing asphalt pavement and replace it with new hot mix asphalt (HMA) pavement
- Widen the shoulders along WIS 165
- Replace two (2) cross culverts and remove two (2) additional cross culverts.
- Construct new ditches for improved drainage
- Construct new storm sewers in some locations
- Concrete surface repairs to box culvert located on WIS 32 (Sheridan Road)
Status and Schedule
The project is currently in the design phase, with construction tentatively planned for 2029 at the earliest.

Traffic Impacts
WIS 165 (104th Street) will be closed to through traffic between County EZ (39th Avenue) and WIS 32 (Sheridan Road) during construction.
Local access will be maintained for businesses and residences.
A detour will be posted utilizing WIS 31, WIS 158, and WIS 32.
