US 18 (Hope Lake Road intersection), Town of Oakland - Jefferson County
Project overview
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) plans to improve a 0.26 mile section of US 18 around the curve through the Hope Lake Road intersection in the Town of Oakland, Jefferson County. The proposed project will resurface the existing roadway and add a high friction surface treatment to address roadway departure crashes.
Improvements include:
- 2-inch mill and overlay
- High friction surface treatment
- Widen the paved shoulders from 3 feet to 5 feet
- Install shoulder rumble strips
- Reinstall pavement markings
Schedule
- May 27, 2025 - Public Involvement Meeting
- 2027 - Construction anticipated
Traffic impacts/detours
Traffic will be maintained with flagging operations.
