WIS 171 (WIS 27 to US 61), Ferryville to Rolling Ground - Crawford County
Project overview
The proposed project with treat the pavement with a mill and overlay on WIS 171 between WIS 27 and US 61 in Crawford County.
Additional improvements include:
- Update curb ramps to meet ADA standards
- Add curb and gutter in rural sections
- Replace guard rail

Traffic impacts/detours
Detours will be required for culvert pipe replacements and the concrete pavement work at the WIS 131/WIS 171 intersection. The detour route will utilize WIS 27, US 14 and US 61. The detour for culvert work is anticipated to last one month. The detour for the WIS 131/WIS 171 intersection work is anticipated to last two weeks. The remaining work will be constructed under flagging operations. Access to local residents and businesses will be maintained during construction.
During construction activities at the bridge located .14 miles southwest of WIS 171 and Skyline Road intersection, one lane will be closed to traffic. The remaining one lane will be open to traffic and controlled with a temporary stop sign.
