Project overview
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) plans to improve a 0.58 mile section of WIS 33 between Forest Street and WIS 68, and a 0.16 mile section of WIS 68 between WIS 33 and Edgelawn Drive by replacing the existing asphalt pavement with concrete pavement. The treatment is needed as the existing pavement is at the end of its service life.
Additional improvements include:
- Replacing curb ramps to meet ADA standards
- Replacing curb and gutter
- Add pavement approach slabs to the Fox Lake outlet bridge
- Replace sections of sidewalk
Schedule
- December 4, 2024 - Public Involvement Meeting
- 2028 - Construction anticipated
Traffic impacts/detours
Traffic will be detoured during construction. The detour route will be determined as the design progresses. Access will be maintained during construction for residents and local businesses to the greatest extent possible.
