WIS 35 (Illinois State Line to WIS 11), East Dubuque - Grant County
Project overview
The purpose of this project is to maintain connectivity along WIS 35 to Illinois and Iowa by addressing the deteriorating with alligator, longitudinal and transverse cracking. Culvert pipes are deteriorating and separating causing washouts and holes.
- Pavement replacement
- WIS 35: Treat asphalt pavement distress with mill and overlay. Mill 2.25 inches, mill and relay 3 inches and overlay with 5 inches of HMA pavement.

- Culvert pipe replacement
- Guardrail replacement and grading
Schedule
- Spring/Summer 2029 - Construction anticipated, advanceable to 2027
Traffic impacts/detours
WIS 35 will be closed and detour to through traffic utilizing WIS 11, US 61, and US 20. Local traffic will be flagging around operation to maintain access.
