WIS 44 (WIS 22 to County P), Pardeeville - Columbia County
Project overview
The project will address 0.7 miles of deteriorating pavement on WIS 44 from WIS 22 to County P in Columbia County. The project consists of removing the full depth of existing pavement (5.5 inches), improving the underlying base, and paving 5.5 inches of new asphaltic pavement.
Additional improvements include:
- Improving curb ramps along the corridor to meet ADA compliance
- Real estate acquisition in the form of Temporary Limited Easement (TLE) is likely to accommodate curb ramp construction
- Possible utility work by the village

Traffic impacts/detours
WIS 44 is planned to be closed to through traffic during construction. The detour utilizes WIS 22 and WIS 33. Flagging operations will be utilized to maintain access to the community north of WIS 44.
