The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is seeking a public input on improvements along WIS 131, from WIS 82 in La Farge to WIS 33 in Ontario, Vernon County. Construction is currently scheduled for 2026.
Exhibits detailing the WIS 131 project are available to view on the project website at

The project will resurface 12 miles of WIS 131. Additional improvements include updating guardrail, bridge painting, curb ramp installation at the intersection of WIS 133 and WIS 33 and culvert repairs. Construction will be split into three stages with a detour during each stage.
All persons interested in the project are encouraged to view the website and provide input by contacting project staff via email, postal mail, or phone. Your comments will assist WisDOT in developing a project that will serve the needs of the traveling public and community. Your input is welcome and appreciated throughout the design process.
