Public meeting for WIS 81 and US 51 curb ramps in Beloit

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss plans and schedule for the sidewalk curb ramp replacements along the following streets in the City of Beloit, Rock County.

  • WIS 81 (Liberty Avenue) from McKinley Avenue to 4th Street
  • WIS 81 (4th Street) from Liberty Avenue to Portland Avenue
  • WIS 81 (Portland Avenue) from 4th Street to the Rock River
  • WIS 81 (White Avenue) from Pleasant Street to Milwaukee Road
  • US 51 (Broad Street) from the Manchester Street to Pleasant Street
  • US 51 (Pleasant Street) from Broad Street to White Avenue

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., in the Community Room at the Beloit Historical Society, 845 Hackett Street, Beloit. The objective of this meeting is to familiarize the public with the purpose and need for the project and to obtain input on the proposed improvements.
