Governor Evers approves WIS 27 improvements, Crawford County

Release date: March 22, 2024

To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers recently signed a $4.5 million contract to resurface WIS 27 between Northwest Avenue in Seneca and County C north of Fairview in Crawford County. Preliminary work is scheduled to begin March 25 on tree clearing operations. Remaining construction will begin mid-June.

Iverson Construction is the prime contractor for the project. The project is designed to improve safety and ride quality by resurfacing this 9-mile section of WIS 27, updating curb ramps in Mt. Sterling, and replacing guardrail and culvert pipes.

During construction, WIS 27 will remain open under flagging operations.

Project completion is scheduled for late August. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
