Governor Evers approves I-90/94 improvements, Wisconsin Dells to Portage

Release date: March 29, 2024

To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers recently signed a $6.9 million contract to resurface I-90/94 between Mirror Lake Bridge in Wisconsin Dells and WIS 33 in Portage, Sauk County. Preliminary work is scheduled to begin April 1.

DL Gasser Construction is the prime contractor for the project. The project is designed to repair concrete with patch work, shoulder repair, and pavement markings on I-90/94 between Mirror Lake Bridge and WIS 33.

During construction, I-90/94 will remain open to traffic with nonpeak lane closures.

Project completion is scheduled for early August. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
