The pavement along this stretch of WIS US 63 is showing signs of deterioration. To address this and other issues, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is proposing to:

  • Remove the top 3.25 inches of the existing pavement and overlay the road with 3.25 inches of new asphalt.
  • Repair or perform maintenance on culverts.
  • Reconstruct curb ramps to Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance
  • Place new pavement markings.
  • Complete any other incidental work.

During construction, US 63 will remain open to traffic, but motorists will encounter single-lane closures controlled by flagging operations. In addition, temporary driveway closures will be necessary to complete construction, but property owners will be notified in advance of such a closure.

Construction currently is scheduled for 2026.
