Governor Evers approves US 51 and County B/AB improvements, Dane County

To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers recently signed a $3.3 million contract to reconstruct the US 51 and County B/AB intersection, North of Stoughton in Dane County. Preliminary work is scheduled to begin April 8.

Mussen Brothers, Inc. is the prime contractor for the project. The project is designed to improve safety by reconstructing the US 51 and County B/AB intersection to a dual-lane roundabout.

During construction, US 51 and County B/AB will be constructed in stages. Early stages include nighttime closures and detour utilizing WIS 138, US 14, and US 12/18 (Beltline).

Project completion is scheduled for fall 2024. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
