The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northwest Region is announcing lifting the seasonal weight limits on the entire stretch of WIS 169 in Ashland County pursuant to Wisconsin statutes.
Seasonal weight restrictions will be lifted at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, April 16 on the following:

WIS 169, Ashland County: WIS 13 in the city of Mellen east to the Iron County line.
In addition, WisDOT's North Central Region plans to release springtime weight limits on WIS 169 from the Ashland County line to US 2 at the same time.
Seasonal weight restrictions are placed on specific highways during the spring thaw period to prevent pavement damage.
