Bong Bridge inspection to result in lane closures

​The routine inspection of the Bong Bridge, which carries US 2 between Superior, Wis., and Duluth, Minn., will result in lane closures beginning Monday, July 31.

The following closures are anticipated for the entire length of the bridge:

  • Westbound US 2: The right lane will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily Monday, July 31 and Tuesday, Aug. 1.
  • Eastbound US 2: The right lane will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from Monday, July 31 through Thursday, Aug. 3.

Motorists will encounter lane closures on Friday, Aug. 4 if weather impacts the above schedule.​​
