The existing pavement on this segment of US 63 is exhibiting signs of deterioration. To address this and other issues, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation plans to:

  • Remove a portion of the existing pavement and overlay the roadway with new asphalt pavement.

  • Widen the paved shoulders.

  • Add rumble strips.

  • Make bridge repairs.

  • Complete culvert work.

  • Clean ditches.

  • Replace guardrail at spot locations.

Construction is scheduled for 2027.

During construction, US 63 will remain open to traffic for most of the work, with motorists encountering single-lane closures. Work on a deep culvert will require a short-term closure of US 63, with traffic detoured via County E, County T and County G.
