The pavement on this approximate seven-mile segment of WIS 35 is showing signs of deterioration. To address this and other issues, WisDOT is proposing to:

  • Remove a portion of the existing pavement and place new asphalt.
  • Upgrade curb ramps to meet Americans With Disabilities Act standards, where feasible.
  • Replace select culverts and complete repairs/cleaning where required.
  • Add guardrail or flatten roadside slopes at the Gandy Dancer Trail crossing.
  • Replace guardrail and select signage.
  • Install new pavement markings.

During construction, WIS 35 will remain open to traffic, but motorists will encounter single-lane closures controlled by flagging during culvert replacement and resurfacing work.

Construction currently is scheduled for 2028, but work could be advanced to 2027 if funding becomes available.
