Location
WIS 107, County B to North Street, Marathon County
Overview
The proposed improvements include resurfacing the asphalt by milling off the top surface and replacing it with a new asphalt. The improvements would also include widening of the WIS 107 and 4th Street intersection to better accommodate large turning trucks, upgrading many of the curb ramps to meet current ADA requirements, replace deteriorating culvert pipes and repair deteriorating storm sewer structures.
Traffic Impacts
The resurfacing would take place under single lane closures with flagging. The 4th Street intersection improvements would be staged to maintain traffic flow. Temporary pedestrian accommodations, along with staging, would be utilized during the sidewalk closures for curb ramp improvements to maintain pedestrian access through the project corridor.
Real Estate
Real estate acquisition consisting of both permanent fee and temporary limited easements will be required for improvements to the 4th Street intersection and at most of the curb ramps.
