Location
WIS 110, County AA to WIS 22, Waupaca County
Overview
The purpose of the project is to:
- Preserve the roadway asset and minimize the overall life cycle cost of the corridor.
Proposed improvements include:
- Mill and resurface the roadway with new hot mix asphalt (HMA) pavement
- Base patching and roadway excavation at spot locations throughout the project limits
- Pave the existing WIS 110 shoulders full width, 6-feet, along the low side of horizontal curves at the following intersections: White Lake Road (both intersections), South Shore Drive and Paap Road
- Replace the raised island at the WIS 110/WIS 22/54 intersection
- Replace the guardrail along WIS 110 near the White Lake Road intersection.
- Replace seven culvert pipes
- Replace all pavement markings and update railroad signing north of County AA
Traffic Impacts
- WIS 110 will remain open to traffic during non-culvert related construction operations using single-lane closures with flagging operations and shoulder closures.
- Culvert replacement and roadway excavation are planned to be completed with WIS 110 closed to through traffic and a signed detour. The signed detour route would follow US 10 and WIS 22. The detour is anticipated to be in place for two to three weeks.
- Access to all properties will be maintained throughout construction except for short periods when milling and paving operations are occurring in front of the property.
Real Estate
A small temporary easement is needed to accommodate the guardrail construction and associated grading near White Lake Road.
