WIS 32 (North Lake Drive) - East Newberry Boulevard to East Edgewood Avenue in the city of Milwaukee, Milwaukee County.
Roadway Construction Schedule
Construction is currently scheduled for July 2024. Work performed in the area during 2023 was unrelated to this project and was not completed by WisDOT.
Overview
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and the City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works are planning to reconstruct WIS 32 (North Lake Drive) from East Newberry Boulevard to East Edgewood Avenue. Proposed improvements include:
- Pavement replacement
- Curb ramp improvements
- Enhanced pedestrian and bike accommodations
- Replacing drainage structures
- Upgraded street lighting and traffic signals

Public Involvement Meeting #2
The second public involvement meeting was held virtually on April 20, 2022 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and an open house (in-person) meeting was held on April 21, 2022 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The project team provided an update on the project and presented roadway design alternatives based on initial community feedback.

The first public involvement meeting was held virtually on July 15, 2020 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The project team provided an overview of the project and schedule, with the public able to share their feedback and help start the design process.
Traffic Impacts
Traffic control during construction has not yet been determined. As plans move forward, information will be shared with the public as it becomes available.
