I-39/90/94 (South County Line to WIS 60) - Columbia County
Project overview
The purpose of this project is to improve the surface of I-39 to extend the roadway's surface life. The project is needed to address deteriorating pavement.
The proposed roadway improvements include placing a 4 inch asphalt overlay on the existing concrete pavement and replacing existing beam guard at the bridge overpasses.
Schedule
- Early spring 2023 - Virtual Public Involvement
- Fall 2023 - Construction anticipated on northbound lanes
- 2024 - Construction anticipated on southbound lanes
Traffic impacts/detours
I-39/90/94 will remain open to traffic during construction utilizing lane closures during non-peak hours.
