I-39 (0.55 miles south of County V interchange to North Dane County line) - Dane County
Project overview
I-39 has pavement and paved portions of the shoulders that are deteriorated and in need of rehabilitation. The proposed project will address the deteriorated pavement and prolong the life of the I-39 roadway and shoulders. The project will also provide a safer and more comfortable ride for motorists.
Schedule
- 2026 - Construction anticipated but advanceable to 2025 if funding becomes available
Traffic impacts/detours
I-39 will be constructed under nighttime lane closures. County V interchange ramps will be closed and detoured during I-39 outer lane closures, detour will utilize WIS 19 and WIS 60.
