US 14 (Richland County line to Wisconsin River), Spring Green - Sauk County
Project overview
The purpose of this project is to prolong the service life of the existing pavement structure on US 14. The project will consist of removing 3.5 inches of asphaltic surface milling and replacing with 3.5 inches of hot mix asphalt (HMA) pavement.
Additional improvements include:
- Replacing guardrail
- Centerline rumble strips
- New pavement markings
- Two intersection improvements at WIS 23 and Rainbow Road
- Traffic signals will be placed at the US 14/WIS 23 south intersection
- A roundabout will be constructed at the US 14/Rainbow Road intersection
- Curb ramps will be constructed at both intersections
Schedule
- 2027 - Construction anticipated
Traffic impacts/detours
US 14 will remain open during construction through staging operations.
