US 14 (High Echo Lane to Locust Street) & US 14/Main Street (WIS 27) intersection, Westby - Vernon County
Project overview
North Main Street (US 14) between High Echo Lane and Locust Street is planned to be reconstructed. The approximately 1.6-mile project will replace the pavement structure, improve intersections, improve pedestrian accommodations, permit driveway and access connections, replace the storm sewer system and update the street lighting. North Main Street will be reconstructed with two (2) travel lanes, parking lanes, and intersection improvements. The North Main Street and Main Street intersection will be reconstructed into a roundabout. Various construction staging and traffic detour scenarios are being evaluated for consideration and will likely include temporary widening and a detour route on Coon Prairie Road and Bekkedal Ave. This project will require the acquisition of right-of-way and temporary limited easements for construction.

WisDOT is currently finalizing construction staging scenarios and will present these at upcoming public and business owner meetings to be announced.
