WIS 81 (County K to S Paddock Road), Newark - Rock County
Project overview
The purpose of this project is to do a 4” pavement resurfacing of WIS 81 due to aging and cracking pavement. The proposed undertaking will consist of widening the paved shoulders from 3-feet to 5-feet, installing left and right turn lanes at County H, repairing deck and concrete surface of the bridge over Raccoon Creek, repairing riprap at the culvert west of S Paddock Road, replacing guardrail as needed, and installing centerline and shoulder rumble strips.

- 2024 - Public Involvement
- 2028 - Construction anticipated, possible advancement to 2027 if funding becomes available
Traffic impacts/detours
During construction WIS 81 will be closed and detoured.
