WIS 81 (Willow Creek Bridge to County K), Avon to Newark - Rock County
Project overview
The purpose of this project is a pavement reconstruction of WIS 81 due to aging and cracking pavement. Paved shoulders will be widened from the existing 10-foot aggregate to a 5-foot paved and 5-foot aggregate shoulder. Shoulder and centerline rumble strips will be installed to address safety concerns.
Schedule
- 2024 - Public Involvement Meeting
- 2029 - Construction anticipated but advanceable to 2028 if funding is available
Traffic impacts/detours
WIS 81 will be closed and detoured for the duration of construction. Detour will utilize WIS 11 and WIS 213.
