WisDOT considers the use of a variety of roadway improvements across the state. These improvements are installed to enhance safety by reducing fatal and injury crashes, or the risk for these crashes to occur. Roadway modifications focus on improving visibility of traffic control devices or reducing the risk of sideswipe and lane departure crashes.
