US 151 (Beaverland Parkway to Hemlock Road), Beaver Dam - Dodge County
Project overview
The purpose of this project is to address the current cable guard condition on US 151. The median cable barrier was installed along US 151 from Beaverland Parkway to Hemlock Road is 2008, and a portion within these limits was replaced in 2013. Both cable guard installations are inadequate and face concerns related to the materials used and the installation technique.
Improvements include:
- Replacing existing cable guard between Beaverland Parkway and Hemlock Road
- Widening median crossovers
- Existing grades beyond new cable guard placement will be checked to ensure proper grading requirements are met
Schedule
- February 2024 - Public Input requested
- 2025 - Construction anticipated
Traffic impacts/detours
Single lane closures and median shoulder closures are anticipated to be used during construction.
