US 14 (County O to WIS 89), City of Janesville - Rock County
Project overview
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is developing preliminary plans for a resurfacing project on USH 14. The purpose of this project on US 14 is to address rutting and cracking with mill and overlay to deter future deterioration. The 10.40-mile-long project is located in the City of Janesville, from the 0.3 miles east of County O intersection to WIS 89 intersection.
Proposed improvements:
- Resurface existing pavement (mill and overlay)
- Intersection improvements at Avalon Road, Tarrant Road and County C/County M
Schedule
- December 14, 2023 - Public Involvement Meeting
- 2028 - Construction anticipated with the potential to advance to 2027
Traffic impacts/detours
Through traffic will be detoured during construction, access for local traffic will be maintained.
