Photography and recording at local DMV customer service centers
With some restrictions, Wisconsin DMV allows recording, including video footage and photography, within DMV service centers. Due to security and privacy concerns, any recording must be done away from the service counter where confidential information may be exposed. No recording may involve customer applications or other confidential documents.
Media members should identify themselves to a DMV staff person. A manager may be called to provide a welcome/orientation. Media members may interview and/or record customers with the customers’ approval. However, any such interactions must not distract from or interfere with other DMV customers or DMV operations, nor reveal confidential information.
