The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss reconstruction improvements on WIS 59 from E Mallwood Drive to County N in Newville, Rock County.
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Fulton Town Hall Community room, 2738 W Fulton Street, Edgerton. The objective of this meeting is to familiarize the public with the purpose and need for the project and to obtain input on the proposed improvements.
The purpose of this project includes addressing safety and deteriorating pavement. A few proposed improvements include:
- Removal and replacement of existing pavement along WIS 59
- Installation of roundabouts at the E Mallwood Drive, Ellendale Road and County N intersections with WIS 59
- Removal of the N Hillside Drive access to WIS 59 by constructing a cul-de-sac
