Release date: March 19, 2026
To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers recently signed a $3,484,865 contract to reconstruct the WIS 11 and WIS 23/County P intersection near Shullsburg in Lafayette County. Preliminary work is scheduled to begin March 23.
Zignego Company, Inc. is the prime contractor for the project. The project is designed to improve safety and operations by reconstructing the current intersection into a roundabout.
During construction, WIS 11 will remain open to traffic under flagging operations. WIS 23 and County P will be closed with a detour utilizing WIS 11, WIS 80 and WIS 81.
Project completion is scheduled for early July. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
